Job Requirements
- Knowledge of English and local language
- ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
- prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
- ability to visually check work, work area, and hotel space
- minimum lifting of 30 pounds
- ability to interact with guests and the public in a professional and courteous manner
- ability to communicate with all managers, supervisors and fellow associates
- ability to handle conflict situations in a professional manner
- be well groomed and adhere to the hotel's dress code
- immediate reporting of all accidents
- adherence to safety policies
- approval required for overtime and shift changes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience as a line cook or in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- ability to follow recipes and supervisor instructions accurately
- good communication skills
- ability to work effectively in a team
- basic math skills for portion control
Job Duties
- Prepare food according to approved recipes, portion standards, and supervisor direction
- set up and break down assigned station on time for each service period
- ensure food quality, accuracy, and timely delivery to the correct service area
- follow all food safety and sanitation requirements in accordance with Georgia Department of Public Health Food Service Rules and Regulations
- maintain a clean and organized workstation by following clean as you go practices at all times
- properly store food by covering, labeling, dating, and rotating items using FIFO (first in, first out) procedures
- assist with same-day and advance food preparation as assigned
