Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of prior experience in restaurant or culinary settings
- Food handler certification if applicable
- Proven ability to manage time and tasks efficiently
- Experience working in fast-paced, high volume kitchens
- Ability to perform physical labor and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Two years of previous experience in restaurant or culinary roles in a high volume, full service restaurant preferred
- Food handler certification if applicable
- Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Ability to establish positive rapport with diverse personalities
- Time management and organizational skills required for high quality food production
- Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision
Job Duties
- Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to the guests in a timely manner
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
- Follow item specifications including preparation, execution, and presentation
- Consistently comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Prevent spoiling and contamination of foods by implementing proper sanitation practices and compliance with health regulations
- Maintain a clean workstation and kitchen equipment including tables, grills, fryers, and refrigeration
- Assist in daily cleaning of pantry, prep kitchen, dish area, and other kitchen workspaces
- Report maintenance or repair needs to the Executive Chef
- Follow departmental policies as well as restaurant rules and regulations set forth in the Employee Handbook and by management
