Job Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation to work and be punctual
  • ability to follow sanitation and safety standards

  • previous culinary experience in hospitality or healthcare settings preferred

Job Qualifications

  • One year certificate from college or technical school
  • one year related experience and/or training as cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, health care facility or similar institution
  • ability to use professional communication skills
  • ability to collaborate effectively with culinary team members
  • strong organization and time-management skills
  • positive attitude and willingness to work in a team
  • culinary students are welcome to apply

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with culinary team to prepare dishes utilizing different cooking techniques as per standardized recipes
  • maintains a clean and organized area throughout the shift
  • adheres to sanitation and safety procedures
  • performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor to execute test recipes
  • prepares food for three daily meals
  • ensures proper portion control
  • utilizes leftovers effectively
  • cares for and cleans kitchen equipment
  • follows daily meal schedules
