  • Ability to assist residents during activities and outings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a social, recreational, or activities program—preferably in senior living, healthcare, or dementia care
  • Demonstrated passion for serving older adults, especially those with memory challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of patience, empathy, and creativity
  • Ability to lead small and large groups with enthusiasm and confidence
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail for planning and recordkeeping
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents as needed

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and lead daily group and one-on-one programs that support the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual wellness of residents
  • Build genuine, trusting relationships with residents and families
  • Encourage and assist residents to participate in meaningful activities, adapting programs to meet individual needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director and Resident Care Manager to design activities that align with each resident’s care plan and cognitive abilities
  • Coordinate special events, outings, and intergenerational programs that enhance quality of life
  • Maintain attendance records and document participation accurately
  • Support community-wide programs, events, and celebrations as part of the broader Life Enrichment team
  • Safely assist residents during outings, including operation of accessible transportation (training provided)
