Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a social, recreational, or activities program—preferably in senior living, healthcare, or dementia care
- Demonstrated passion for serving older adults, especially those with memory challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of patience, empathy, and creativity
- Ability to lead small and large groups with enthusiasm and confidence
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for planning and recordkeeping
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents as needed
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, and lead daily group and one-on-one programs that support the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual wellness of residents
- Build genuine, trusting relationships with residents and families
- Encourage and assist residents to participate in meaningful activities, adapting programs to meet individual needs and preferences
- Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director and Resident Care Manager to design activities that align with each resident’s care plan and cognitive abilities
- Coordinate special events, outings, and intergenerational programs that enhance quality of life
- Maintain attendance records and document participation accurately
- Support community-wide programs, events, and celebrations as part of the broader Life Enrichment team
- Safely assist residents during outings, including operation of accessible transportation (training provided)
