Job Duties

  • Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
  • Add chemicals and clean lint traps
  • Identify stained or damaged items and determine appropriate action
  • Inspect cleanliness of laundered articles and sort into clean linen carts
  • Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabric
  • Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain traps
  • Fold cleaned articles to designated size by hand or machine
  • Maintain accurate records of items laundered
  • Follow company safety and security policies and report hazards
  • Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Support team goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns
  • Identify and implement methods to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for defects
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds and working in various physical conditions
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
