Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older

- no high school diploma, GED or college degree required

- 1 year of similar work experience
Job Duties
- Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
- dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures
- removes stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
- cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment
- gathers and empties trash
- wipes and cleans tabletops and chairs
- cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
- services, cleans, and supplies restrooms
- cleans glass doors
- keeps janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintains equipment in good working order
- requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
