Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Considerable knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation standards for public facilities
- Ability to operate power cleaning equipment
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting heavy objects and frequent walking
- Good oral communication skills
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Considerable knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of safety practices in chemical and equipment use
- Experience with power cleaning equipment operation
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Good oral communication skills
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure cleanliness of museum areas throughout the day
- Clean event spaces before, during, and after events
- Follow Science Museum cleaning protocols
- Operate power cleaning equipment such as buffers and vacuum cleaners
- Apply knowledge of cleaning chemicals and materials safely
- Perform physical cleaning tasks including lifting heavy objects
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
