Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- physical capability to perform manual cleaning tasks
- availability to work approximately 20-25 hours per week
- ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies safely
- willingness to wear personal protective equipment
- ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Job Qualifications

- previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- ability to follow safety procedures and infection control guidelines
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods

- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
- perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
- clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units in resident rooms and recreational areas daily
- clean, wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures ensuring water marks are removed
- clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways
- clean floors including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting with proper caution signs
- clean carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting
- clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing
- remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using proper cleaning solutions
- clean hallways, stairways, and elevators
- discard waste/trash and reline trash receptacles
- clean vacant rooms as assigned
- ensure work areas and equipment are clean and properly stored
- perform isolation cleaning procedures as per infection control protocols
- discard infectious waste properly
- clean foyer and entryways
- maintain adequate supplies in janitorial closets
- inform supervisor of supply or facility needs
- assist with lifting heavy equipment or supplies as needed
- clean work carts and equipment and store properly
- maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive work environment
- follow fire safety policies and use safety equipment when lifting heavy objects
- keep work areas free from hazards
- follow chemical mixing and usage guidelines
- report hazardous conditions
- maintain infection control and universal precautions
- attend training on exposure to blood, fluids, and chemicals
- report missing or improperly labeled hazardous materials
- use personal protective equipment appropriately
- follow handwashing and sanitation procedures
- coordinate isolation procedures with nursing service
- perform other duties as necessary to maintain cleanliness and safety of the facility
