Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literacy including keyboard facility, data entry, email use, hospital intranet knowledge, multiple telephone line experience and etiquette
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills both in person and on the telephone
  • Creative problem solving
  • Ability to work under direct supervision
  • Availability to work part time (21 hours) during day shift
  • Bilingual skills desirable

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Competence in computer literacy including keyboard facility, data entry, email use, hospital intranet knowledge, multiple telephone line experience and etiquette
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills in person and on the telephone
  • Creative problem solving
  • Clerical, customer service, communications-related experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels

Job Duties

  • Support the patient care activities of the nursing unit through timely greeting and check-in of arriving patients
  • Coordinate activities with unit staff and other departments
  • Demonstrate clear, concise, accurate and timely communications with members of the health care team, patients, families and visitors
  • Perform service functions including triaging and answering calls
  • Assist with concerns and use of MyWall
  • Work under direct supervision and incorporate NYULH Core Values in all aspects of job performance
