Job Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of computer experience including inputting and accessing information
  • Less than 1 year experience using retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • Ability to lift items up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Availability to perform standing, walking, bending, reaching, and product handling duties
  • Willingness to comply with safety and housekeeping standards
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
  • Experience recommending and selling products based on customer needs
  • Ability to coach and supervise front-end team members
  • Knowledge of retail technology such as cash registers and scanners
  • Familiarity with safety and security practices in retail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate various store equipment

Job Duties

  • Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
  • Proactively recommend products and services to customers
  • Greet, assist, and engage with customers effectively
  • Ensure accurate completion of transactions by handling product and register operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service by understanding needs and assisting with merchandise
  • Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using cash registers
  • Coach, develop, and provide feedback to front-end associates
  • Inspect and manage returned merchandise
  • Prepare register area and stock supplies
  • Enter and verify customer orders
  • Maintain store cleanliness and safety compliance
  • Detect and report security risks
  • Operate store equipment as required
  • Answer phone calls and direct or take messages
  • Open additional registers to manage customer flow
  • Assist in line vesting to reduce wait times
