Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including add-on sales and explaining warranties
- 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than one year of retail experience detecting shoplifting
- Basic computer skills with less than one year of experience using smart phones and tablets
- Familiarity with sales checkout processes
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 15 pounds.
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately
- Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
- Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions
- Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe's
- Provides SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- Listens and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions
- Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
- Provides supervision, coaching, and support to CSA Front End Team
- Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise
- Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls or takes messages
- Opens additional registers as needed
- Prepares register area at shift start and end by confirming functionality and stocking supplies
- Inspects returned merchandise for damages
- Enters and submits customer orders, prints order tickets, and verifies receipts
- Monitors merchandise entering and leaving store entrances and assists customers or associates who trigger alarms
- Detects signs of shoplifting or theft and communicates to management
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of store and working areas
- Operates store equipment as needed
- Adheres to safety requirements relevant to regular job duties
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
