Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting and accessing information
- Less than 1 year of experience using retail technology like smartphones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to lift items up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience in supervisory roles including coaching and training associates
- Knowledge of product features, warranty, and protection plans
- Ability to utilize retail technology such as cash registers and smart devices
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive approach
- Previous experience working in a Lowe's retail setting is advantageous
- Basic understanding of retail loss prevention and security procedures
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to recommend products and services proactively
- Provides expert customer service by understanding needs and assisting with locating and selecting merchandise
- Listens and responds to customer and employee inquiries, guiding them through projects when necessary
- Coaches, trains, and provides feedback to cashier associates to maximize sales opportunities
- Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds using cash registers
- Supervises and supports front-end team members including loaders
- Monitors safety and security protocols by detecting and reporting shoplifting and other risks
- Maintains store cleanliness and organization adhering to housekeeping standards
- Operates various store equipment including scanners, telephones, CCTV, and cash registers
- Opens additional registers to ensure adequate customer service coverage
- Executes line control during peak checkout times
- Inspects returned merchandise and manages customer orders efficiently
- Communicates product information, warranties, and company policies to customers
