Job Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying or outputting information
  • Less than 1 year of experience using retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • Experience selling products based on customer needs including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans
  • Experience in supervisory roles, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
  • Knowledge of detecting common signs of shoplifting and theft
  • Ability to use retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
  • Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately
  • Provides SMART customer service consistently through execution of Lowe's policies, procedures and programs
  • Uses cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
  • Provides supervision, coaching, and support to CSA Front End Team
  • Opens additional registers when necessary to ensure coverage
  • Supports store loss prevention by monitoring merchandise and detecting security risks
  • Maintains a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety policies and conducting daily safety reviews
  • Operates store equipment as needed depending on department
  • Handles returned merchandise and customer orders by inspecting, entering, and placing them in appropriate areas
  • Communicates product and warranty information to customers
  • Answers incoming phone calls and directs or takes messages as needed
