Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting and accessing information
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
- Willingness to work various shifts including standing, walking, and physical tasks
- Ability to detect signs of shoplifting and communicate concerns appropriately
- Ability to perform cashier duties accurately and efficiently.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Ability to handle supervisory duties including training and coaching
- Knowledge of retail technology such as smart phones, tablets, and cash registers
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic understanding of retail security measures and procedures.
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and engages customers proactively recommending products and services
- Provides SMART customer service according to Lowe's policies and procedures
- Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register
- Coaches, trains, and supports front-end associates and team members
- Prepares register area by confirming functionality and stocking supplies
- Monitors store entrances for security risks and responds to potential theft
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of store and work areas
- Ensures a safe workspace by adhering to all safety requirements and procedures
- Operates store equipment such as telephones, paging systems, and scanning devices
- Performs various duties as assigned to support store operations.
