Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer
- Less than 1 year of experience using retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to lift items up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Experience as a head cashier preferred
- Experience working in any Lowe's retail department
- Supervisory experience including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Ability to detect common signs of shoplifting
- Knowledge of retail technology and cash register operation
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to recommend products and services
- Greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers
- Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product
- Thanks customers and invites them to shop again
- Provides SMART customer service by following Lowe's policies
- Assists customers in locating, selecting, and loading merchandise
- Responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions
- Communicates product information, warranty, and benefits
- Coaches, develops, and trains associates
- Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds using cash registers
- Supervises and supports CSA Front End Team
- Removes security tags and bags merchandise
- Answers and directs incoming phone calls
- Opens additional registers as needed
- Assists in line vesting for quicker checkout
- Prepares register area and stocks supplies
- Inspects returned merchandise for damages
- Enters and submits customer orders
- Reviews and places online orders
- Verifies price matches
- Records store use items
- Monitors cash drawer limits and obtains safety bags
- Monitors store entrances and assists with alarms
- Detects shoplifting signs and reports to management
- Ensures cleanliness and organization of store
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Adheres to safety requirements and operates store equipment
- Responsible for other duties as assigned
