Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Ability to lift items up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Experience in identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Supervisory experience including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Familiarity with store safety and security procedures
- Competency in using retail technology such as registers, smart phones, and tablets
Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Proactively greet, assist, and engage customers on multiple registers
- Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and assisting in product selection
- Use cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
- Supervise, coach, and support front-end team associates
- Inspect returned merchandise and manage customer orders
- Monitor store entrances and exits to detect and report security risks
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping and safety standards
- Operate store equipment as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
