Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting and modifying information
- Less than 1 year of experience using retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach as required during shift
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience in product sales including credit cards, installations, and protection plans preferred
- Supervisory or coaching experience in retail or related fields advantageous
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use retail technology such as cash registers, tablets, and scanning devices
- Basic knowledge of security measures and safe store operations
Job Duties
- Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Proactively greet and engage customers to recommend products and services
- Perform accurate transaction processing including sales, returns, and refunds
- Coach and train front-end associates and provide supervisory support
- Prepare and inspect merchandise and manage online orders and returned items
- Maintain cleanliness and safety compliance in the store and checkout areas
- Detect and report security risks and shoplifting activities
- Operate store equipment such as scanners, registers, paging systems, and surveillance technology
- Open additional registers as needed and assist in line management for efficient checkout
