Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting and modifying information
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move products during shifts
- Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures relevant to the role
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier or head cashier preferred
- Experience in identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, and protection plans
- Supervisory experience including directing, evaluating, training, and coaching employees preferred
- Knowledge of detecting common signs of shoplifting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
Job Duties
- Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Proactively engage and greet customers while recommending relevant products and services
- Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- Operate cash registers to process sales, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
- Provide supervision, coaching, and training to front-end team associates
- Maintain register areas by confirming functionality, stocking supplies, and inspecting returned merchandise
- Monitor store entrances and exits for security and loss prevention and maintain cleanliness and safety standards
