Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting or accessing information
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to lift items up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
- Availability to comply with safety and security protocols
- Willingness to assist customers proactively and work across multiple registers
- Capable of standing and moving through the checkout area for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience in coaching and training retail associates
- Knowledge of product features, warranty information, and sales techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service
- Competence in using retail technology such as registers, smart phones, and tablets
- Supervisory experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Proactively greet and engage customers to recommend products and services
- Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds accurately
- Coach and support front-end team associates including cashiers and loaders
- Maintain stock and inspect returned merchandise
- Ensure store safety and security by monitoring entrances and observing potential theft
- Operate store equipment as needed and comply with housekeeping standards
