Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 year of experience using retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to adhere to Lowe's safety and customer service standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Ability to coach, train, and develop associates
- Familiarity with retail technology including smartphones and tablets
- Knowledge of store safety policies and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services
- Provides smart customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies and procedures
- Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- Operates cash registers to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
- Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in departmental duties
- Maintains store cleanliness and organization by adhering to housekeeping standards
- Monitors merchandise entering and exiting store and detects signs of shoplifting
- Uses store equipment such as telephones, paging systems, scanners, and CCTV surveillance
- Conducts safety reviews and maintains a safe working environment
