Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying or outputting information
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a cashier in retail
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Experience providing customer service in a retail environment
- Ability to use common retail technology including smart phones and tablets
- Supervisory experience including training and coaching employees
- Knowledge of safety and security protocols in retail
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to recommend products and services appropriately
- Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register
- Provides coaching, feedback, and support to front-end associates
- Prepares register area by confirming register functionality and stocking supplies
- Inspects returned merchandise and manages customer orders
- Monitors store safety, detects shoplifting, and maintains cleanliness and organization
