Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 year of experience using retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move products during work
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Good communication and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience selling products based on customer needs including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, and protection plans
- Experience as a head cashier
- Experience in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- Supervisory experience including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Awareness of shoplifting detection signs
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Proficiency in using retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to recommend products and services appropriately
- Provides SMART customer service by executing Lowe's policies and procedures
- Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
- Uses cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
- Coaches, develops, and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
- Monitors store safety, detects shoplifting signs, and communicates risks to management
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of store areas
- Operates store equipment such as registers, phones, paging systems, and CCTV
- Answers phone calls and directs messages
- Opens additional registers when necessary
- Inspects returned merchandise and handles customer orders
- Ensures compliance with safety requirements and protocols
- Performs other duties as assigned
