Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Ability to coach and develop team members
- Knowledge of store safety and loss prevention practices
- Familiarity with retail technology including cash registers and scanners
Job Duties
- Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Greet, assist, and engage customers proactively
- Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using cash register
- Provide coaching, development, feedback, and training to associates
- Prepare register area and maintain operational readiness of registers and scanners
- Inspect returned merchandise for damages and manage customer orders
- Assist in loss prevention by detecting and reporting signs of shoplifting or theft
