Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Experience with credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, warranties, and product features
- 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Ability to use a cash register and other retail technologies
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Knowledge of detecting common signs of shoplifting preferred
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately
- Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
- Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions
- Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe's
- Provides SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, or loading merchandise
- Listens and responds knowledgeably to customer and employee questions and assists with project guidance
- Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates
- Uses cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds according to guidelines
- Provides supervision, coaching, and support to CSA Front End Team
- Removes security tags and bags merchandise
- Opens additional registers as needed
- Inspects returned merchandise for damages
- Enters and submits customer orders and verifies receipts
- Monitors merchandise entering and leaving the store and assists with security alarms
- Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews and noting hazards
- Operates store equipment depending on role and department
- Performs other duties as assigned
