Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and warranties
- supervisory experience including directing, delegating, training, and coaching employees
- experience working in any Lowe's retail department
- knowledge of shoplifting detection
Job Duties
- Monitor and assist multiple customers at self-checkout registers simultaneously
- proactively greet and engage customers recommending products and services
- walk, bend, reach, lift, and move products to complete transactions accurately
- provide SMART customer service through Lowe's policies and procedures
- use a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
- coach, develop, and train associates on department duties and sales opportunities
- open additional registers to ensure enough coverage
- inspect merchandise for damages and prepare the register area at shift start and end
- detect signs of shoplifting and communicate security concerns
- maintain cleanliness and organization of store areas
- operate store equipment as required
- perform other duties as assigned
