Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Willingness to learn and adhere to company standards
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform light lifting up to 35 lbs
- Ability to assist guests with mobility needs
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and different locations
- Ability to work flexible hours primarily during the day and be available on Saturdays
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and meetings
- Must adhere to workplace policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and supportive in emotional settings
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to quickly learn and operate basic electronic systems
- Empathy and discretion when interacting with grieving families and guests
Job Duties
- Greet and assist guests with warmth, professionalism, and discretion
- Provide directions, answer questions, and offer support to grieving families and attendees
- Monitor service areas to ensure a peaceful and respectful environment
- Assist with seating, floral arrangements, and program distribution
- Communicate effectively with funeral home staff to coordinate service details
- Handle guest inquiries with patience and sensitivity in emotional situations
- Operate basic electronic equipment such as telephones and photocopiers
