Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to company standards
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform light lifting up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to assist guests with mobility needs
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and different locations
  • Ability to work flexible hours primarily during the day and be available on Saturdays
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and meetings
  • Must adhere to workplace policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and supportive in emotional settings
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to quickly learn and operate basic electronic systems
  • Empathy and discretion when interacting with grieving families and guests

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist guests with warmth, professionalism, and discretion
  • Provide directions, answer questions, and offer support to grieving families and attendees
  • Monitor service areas to ensure a peaceful and respectful environment
  • Assist with seating, floral arrangements, and program distribution
  • Communicate effectively with funeral home staff to coordinate service details
  • Handle guest inquiries with patience and sensitivity in emotional situations
  • Operate basic electronic equipment such as telephones and photocopiers
