Job Requirements

  • hourly full time or part time availability
  • able to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts any day of the week
  • physical ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds without assistance
  • experience with safe lifting and moving techniques
  • certification on power equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and electrical lifts within 30 days if assigned to Pro Department
  • ability to travel occasionally to meetings, trainings, or support neighboring stores

Job Qualifications

  • ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
  • 6 months of experience using a computer
  • 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
  • ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration
  • 6 months retail experience preferred
  • experience in customer service or product fulfillment in home improvement or hardware retail preferred
  • experience inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading products or materials preferred

Job Duties

  • delivering quality customer service while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked store
  • being friendly and professional, responding quickly to customer and associate needs
  • ensuring merchandise is in good condition, accurately accounted for, and delivered on time
  • pulling merchandise safely for loading onto delivery trucks
  • assisting customers and staff with moving merchandise safely
  • preparing orders prior to pick up, replenishing shelves, and loading merchandise into vehicles
  • verifying invoices against loaded products to ensure accuracy
