Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of the eighth grade
  • experience in food preparation and serving the public
  • ability to operate a cash register
  • ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, the public, and other employees
  • ability to perform considerable physical activity
  • ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to work day, evening, or weekend shifts
  • adherence to basic safety precautions in work environment
  • ability to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, or loud noises

Job Qualifications

  • Successful completion of the eighth grade
  • experience in food preparation and serving the public
  • one to three years customer service experience preferred
  • one to three years food preparation experience preferred
  • ability to operate a cash register
  • ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, the public, and other employees

Job Duties

  • Prepares foods such as grilled and hot-line foods
  • cleans kitchen, dining room, trays, food carts, and other kitchen equipment as needed
  • operates a cash register
  • takes orders and serves customers
  • may perform other duties as assigned
