Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- two to four months food service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- valid driver’s license
- current physical certification on file
- ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 50 pounds
- ability to operate kitchen equipment including meat slicer, steam kettle, steamer, mixer, microwave, ovens, dishwasher, coffee pot, steam table
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- ability to comprehend, interpret, and prepare documents including menus, recipes, sanitation regulations, order forms, and logs
- effective communication skills
- ability to work in a kitchen environment

Job Duties
- Prepares foods for meals
- serves meals
- monitors condiment tables, serving lines, etc.
- cleans tables in cafeteria
- orders supplies for dish room
- puts away supplies
- assists with end of year inventory
- monitors dishwasher temperature
- maintains log
- fills in for cook and other food service personnel as required
- restocks food and other items as required
- follows safety and sanitation standards
- cleans and sanitizes food preparation areas
- washes dishes, pots and pans, utensils, counters, tables, sinks, equipment, coolers, etc.
- puts away dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc.
- other duties as assigned by Director of School Nutrition Program
