Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant
  • Ability to perform multiple service roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Ability to handle physical demands such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to upholding company policies and hospitality standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in front of house roles including server, support, host or bar
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of wine service and food menus
  • Team leadership and staff development experience
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Customer service excellence

Job Duties

  • Ensure that service is at all times performed in a professional manner and to the style as specified by the Director of Food & Beverage
  • Communicate with other restaurant staff and departments
  • Make sure that company policy, vision statement and departmental objectives are followed and utilized at all times
  • Be fully conversant with all hotel products and services
  • Maintain good communication between kitchen and restaurant and other departments regarding specials, shortages and special dietary requirements
  • Assist the Director of Food & Beverage in keeping the morale of the team up through social and educational events
  • Foster an environment where improvements to products, processes and service are welcomed and encouraged
