Job Requirements

  • education equivalent to high school graduate
  • experience in customer service or recreational settings preferred
  • valid Class C driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • ability to work weekdays and occasional weekends
  • availability during gym core hours
  • ability to perform light physical tasks such as lifting and setup
  • good organizational skills
  • basic computer proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • possession of an appropriate, valid driver’s license, Class C, with satisfactory driving record
  • education equivalent to high school graduate
  • experience or training providing required knowledge and abilities
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to operate office equipment including computers, copiers, and fax machines
  • strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • ability to work cooperatively with city employees and the public
  • ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity

Job Duties

  • serve as front counter receptionist
  • greet the public in a professional and cheerful manner
  • answer telephones
  • work with other front counter staff
  • create flyers, brochures, announcements, and other graphics on the computer
  • make copies for various programs
  • set up and tear down gym equipment including benches, bleachers, tables, volleyball and pickleball equipment
  • perform light maintenance such as sweeping, vacuuming, window cleaning, and trash removal
  • assist with special projects as assigned
  • perform related duties as assigned
