Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- possession of a valid driver’s license
- reliable personal vehicle for use in carrying out duties with mileage reimbursed
- ability to work variable part-time hours
- tolerate indoor and outdoor work conditions including dust and allergens
- ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and occasionally more
- ability to communicate clearly with customers and staff
- comply with library event space policies
- pass criminal background, identity, and sex offender registry checks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- two years hospitality or special events experience preferred
- knowledge of library policies and procedures
- proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work effectively in a team
- customer service oriented
- basic understanding of DEI principles
Job Duties
- Serve as library representative in event spaces during customer events
- assist with room setup and teardown for internal and external events
- provide event AV technical support
- monitor and provide event equipment and custodial supplies
- assist with logistics for library programs and special events
- maintain integrity of event spaces and uphold library policies
- collaborate with library departments and community partners for event planning
