Job Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • understanding of audio/visual equipment used to support events and multimedia applications, audio/visual hardware configuration, conference A/V set-up, streaming platforms, knowledge of electronics used to support events, and a willingness to learn new skills
  • possess outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently with a diverse audience, including current university faculty and staff, alumni, donors, students, and the community
  • possess a strong customer service, time management, and organizational skillset with high attention to detail
  • must have excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • must be able to safely and independently move items up to 50 pounds
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Provides general audio/visual support for meetings, conferences, and events
  • verifies all equipment requests for events are set in the exact manner as described on the set-up report, including tables, chairs, and A/V equipment
  • operates and maintains a working knowledge of all A/V systems in Mason Square event venues
  • verifies A/V equipment is tested and fully operational before events begin
  • responds to and troubleshoots minor technical issues and provides user support during events
  • delivers timely and effective support to event clients, responding promptly to all requests
  • ensures accurate and on time fulfillment of table and equipment delivery requests
