Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well under stressful and high-pressure situations
  • Must be effective in listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns
  • Must communicate information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a positive can-do attitude
  • Must be willing to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every scheduled shift
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at designated times
  • Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for scheduled shifts
  • Must be able to perform physical demands including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions, and lifting over 50 pounds
  • Must read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Technical trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Effective listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills
  • Desire to serve all guests
  • Able to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions, and lifting 50+ pounds
  • Proficient in English language for effective communication

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible ensuring they feel properly welcomed
  • Work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel features and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Respond to all guest repair requests and document completion through electronic work orders
  • Keep up-to-date with all scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
  • Follow all safety and health codes strictly
  • Conduct full property walks at the beginning and end of shifts and address maintenance needs
  • Keep maintenance areas clean and well-organized
  • Wear approved uniform and maintain a professional appearance
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members
  • Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time
  • Submit accurate shift handover reports
