Job Duties

  • Operate dish machine including scraping, soaking, stacking and racking soiled dishes, glasses, utensils and other service wares
  • Return service wares to appropriate storage areas once cleaned and sanitized
  • Keep all equipment including racks, bus tubs and rack dollies clean, sanitized and organized
  • Remove refuse generated throughout dietary department including bagged refuse and recyclable cardboard
  • Maintain department floors by sweeping, mopping and scheduled stripping
  • Assist cooks with washing pots and pans
  • Clean work area according to schedules and assignments
  • Provide support services to other dining rooms and special programs as needed
  • Assist chef with preparing and dishing up desserts, garnishing plates, preparing and delivering room service trays
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment
  • Attend and participate in required in-services
