Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months of restaurant or institutional food service experience preferred
- able to follow oral and written instructions
- able to learn and apply basic mathematic skills
- able to learn and apply food safety and handling standards
- able to learn and apply infection control guidelines
- able to learn and apply knowledge of therapeutic diets and food consistency modifications
- able to read, write and speak English

Job Duties
- perform duties in cafeteria operations and catering services
- assist new employees and co-workers with cross training
- clean and sanitize assigned work areas and equipment as per cleaning schedules
- remove soiled trays and items from patient carts
- clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots and pans within specified time frame
- assemble, operate and disassemble dishmachine for cleaning and record temperatures
- operate and disassemble kitchen equipment used in food preparation
- handle cleaning chemicals as described in MSDS
- operate 3-compartment sink and record sanitizing solution
- sweep and mop kitchen floor, dry storage area and walk-in refrigerators
- wash and sanitize cafeteria and catering dishes, utensils, pots and pans within specified time frame
- perform other duties as assigned
