Job Requirements

  • A passion for cleanliness, organization, and learning within a culinary environment
  • Curiosity for the culinary arts and how a kitchen operates
  • Basic understanding of food safety guidelines
  • Ability to obtain Oregon Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire
  • Conversational English to understand and follow verbal and written direction
  • Adaptable communication skills to interact with team members across departments
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high-volume business
  • Ability to lift, balance, and carry up to 25 lbs and up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work around warm to hot environments such as dish machines, ovens, stoves, and fryers

Job Duties

  • Uphold and exemplify Aparium's pillars of People, Place, and Character
  • Work closely with culinary leadership to support smooth, consistent operations
  • Follow all sanitary guidelines with absolute pride and accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and respect all kitchen equipment
  • Move with purpose and professionalism to support a seamless guest experience
  • Understand stewarding responsibilities, workflow, and equipment maintenance
  • Participate in daily line-ups and occasional culinary meetings
  • Communicate openly with the culinary team, asking questions and offering ideas
  • Attend feedback sessions with the Chef to support your own development
  • Report any equipment or facility issues promptly to the Chef or Engineering
  • Stay aligned with the Executive Chef on priorities and remain flexible as business needs shift
