Job Duties
- Operate the dish machine including scraping, soaking, stacking, and racking soiled dishes, glasses, utensils, and other service wares
- return service wares to appropriate storage areas once cleaned and sanitized
- keep all equipment, including racks, bus tubs, and rack dollies, clean, sanitized, and organized
- remove all refuse generated throughout the dietary department including bagged refuse and recyclable cardboard
- maintain department floors by sweeping, mopping, and scheduled stripping
- assist cooks with washing pots and pans
- clean work area according to schedules and assignments
- provide support services to other dining rooms and special programs as needed
- assist chef with preparing and/or dishing up desserts, garnishing plates, preparing and delivering room service trays
- maintain a clean work environment that presents a professional image
- attend and participate in-services as required by federal, state, and company requirements
