Job Duties

  • Operate dish machine including scraping soaking stacking and racking of soiled dishes glasses utensils and other service wares
  • Return service wares to appropriate storage areas once cleaned and sanitized
  • Keep dishwashing equipment including racks bus tubs and rack dollies clean sanitized and organized
  • Remove refuse generated within the dietary department including bagged refuse and recyclable cardboard
  • Maintain department floors by sweeping mopping and scheduled stripping
  • Assist cooks with washing pots and pans
  • Clean work area according to schedules and assignments
  • Provide support services to other dining rooms and special programs as needed
  • Assist chef with preparing and dishing up desserts garnishing plates preparing and delivering room service trays
  • Maintain a clean professional work environment
  • Attend and participate in required in-services
