Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to talk and hear
- Ability to taste or smell
- Occasionally able to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Vision abilities including close vision, color, and depth perception
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence in English
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English
- Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction of two digit numbers and understanding of American money and weights
- Completion of company training programs including food sanitation and safety
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in training and work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
- Provide customer service and respond to customer inquiries
- Clean work areas to maintain sanitation and safety
- Unload stock deliveries and reload salvage products following Fresh Foods Standards
- Cooperate with fellow associates to create a positive workplace
- Maintain compliance with safety and food handling regulations
