Job Requirements
- ability to stand, walk, push, kneel, twist and reach for up to 100% of shift
- able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- willingness to wear uniform
- ability to follow safety protocols including use of personal protective equipment
- flexibility to work varied shifts
- ability to work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job environment
- strong interpersonal skills
- no prior experience required but previous custodial experience a plus
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience as custodian, janitor, or housekeeper preferred but not required
- ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses
- strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- ability to work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked environment
- positive attitude and ability to contribute to a team effort
- dependability and punctuality
- courteous and respectful to co-workers and customers
Job Duties
- Remove debris and maintain common space areas
- perform all cleaning duties using ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures
- sweep, mop, polish, trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, restroom maintenance
- maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- use proper personal protective equipment where required
- clean kitchen, cafeteria, lobby and break room areas
- place safety hazard signs as necessary
- monitor, clean, service and restock bathrooms
- respond to major spills or cleaning emergencies immediately
