Job Requirements
- Day porter and cleaning experience
- familiarity with OSHA laws, guidelines, and proper cleaning supplies around children at school
- bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

- strong interpersonal and communication skills

- knowledge of facilities policies, standards, and procedures

- ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

- technical skills related to facility maintenance
- ability to build and maintain effective workplace relationships
Job Duties
- Coordinate and oversee daily cleaning and stocking of paper products
- set up chairs and tables for events in halls, cafeterias, schools, and preschools
- interface with building staff on restroom cleaning and supply management
- manage St. Vincent's Recycle Program including IT equipment, paper reuse, and shred operations
- perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces
- monitor and restock restroom supplies and clean restrooms to ensure hygiene
- remove trash and replace liners in common areas, breakrooms, office spaces, and cafeterias
- clean and maintain entrances, front offices, hallways, and other high-traffic areas
- respond to cleaning or maintenance requests as needed
- assist with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or minor repairs
- assist with office or classroom moves
- monitor public and common areas for cleanliness and safety standards compliance
- monitor building security by locking doors and checking appliance use post-hours
- assist in moving furniture, equipment, and supplies
- manage and respond to help desk tickets ensuring timely completion
- requisition cleaning supplies and equipment with the Facility Manager
- set up and decorate facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
- ensure employee vending options are maintained
- keep meeting rooms and public areas orderly during business hours and events
- manage time, projects, priorities, and resources effectively
- conduct daily rounds inside and outside buildings to pick up trash and report issues
- ensure outdoor areas are free of debris
- provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors
- perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager
