Job Requirements

associates must be at least 16 years of age
ability to stand and walk regularly
ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
ability to reach with hands and arms
ability to talk, hear, and smell
occasionally able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
vision abilities including close vision, color and depth perception
willingness to participate in required training
ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions
ability to perform basic arithmetic operations with American currency
ability to follow oral and written instructions
ability to work in conditions that may include wet or humid environments, moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, extreme cold
must complete company training programs

Job Qualifications

excellent communication and interpersonal skills
willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training
ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence in English
ability to write simple correspondence in English
ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations in English
ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and calculate discount percentages
ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
completion of company training including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, and technical skills for cashiering and floor monitoring

Job Duties

take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
accurately and efficiently operate the cash register
provide various services at the customer service counter
maintain security and control of cash register funds
perform duties of floor monitor when assigned or when no one is on duty
perform duties of cashier and bagger as appropriate
