Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • must possess at least one form of TSA-acceptable identification for business travel
  • high school diploma or GED or international equivalent
  • good communication skills
  • authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
  • willing and able to lift and push items weighing up to 100 pounds or heavier
  • must be flexible to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating days off
  • completion of pre-employment drug screen, background check, and fingerprinting
  • must fulfill FAA criminal background checks for unescorted access to airport security identification display areas
  • must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or international equivalent

  • completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • ability to secure airport security badges as required
  • flexibility to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays
  • ability to lift and push items weighing up to 100 pounds or heavier

Job Duties

  • Welcome customers and provide a high level of customer service
  • answer questions about flight schedules and terminal access
  • assist mobility-impaired customers including pushing wheelchairs and transferring to/from aircraft seats
  • escort passengers safely between terminal and aircraft
  • operate golf carts or tugs in congested areas as needed
  • process paperwork for unaccompanied minor passengers and provide overnight escort if required
  • lift and carry baggage up to 100 pounds or heavier
  • monitor airport activity and perform required security checks on aircraft
  • assist with oversize and valet luggage to ensure proper tagging and routing
  • secure unattended aircraft and perform security checks on international and overnight aircraft
  • ensure correct aircraft loading and maintain accurate records
  • remove unclaimed bags from carousels and store them securely
  • work shifts including irregular and extended hours, weekends, and holidays
  • perform additional duties as assigned by management per collective bargaining agreement
