Job Requirements

  • high school degree or GED required
  • some experience in quantity food production or housekeeping preferred
  • ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to safely use tools, utensils, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
  • successful completion of all required background and pre-employment checks

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • fulfill menu requirements and serve meals
  • wash pots and pans, trays, dishes, etc
  • take out kitchen trash to outside trash bins
  • cover, label and date all suitable leftovers for storage
  • maintain personal cleanliness, as well as cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas
  • take and record food temperatures at mealtime
  • take and record refrigerator, freezer and dishwashing machine temperatures
  • attend team meetings as required
  • participate in required in-service training
  • clean assigned areas according to daily and weekly schedules
  • launder linens and children's clothes as assigned
  • maintain storage areas and cleaning supplies inventory
  • report needed repairs or safety hazards immediately to supervisor
  • attend assigned meetings
  • participate in required in-service training
  • participate in quality improvement activities as assigned
