Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in food preparation and cooking
- Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Effective communicator in verbal and written English
- Ability to read and follow menus and recipes, including substitutions
- Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia
- Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
- Comfortable working around animals and pets
Job Qualifications

- Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health
- Knowledge of food safety regulations

- Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia
- Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
- Comfortable working around animals and pets
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve meals for residents in accordance with dietary needs
- Ensure accuracy, quality, presentation, and timeliness of food items
- Modify meals as directed to meet individual nutritional requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
- Perform other duties as needed to support the culinary team
