Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
  • Possess Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation
  • Knowledge of special dietary needs of residents and required meal prep techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Follow all food safety and equipment safety procedures
  • Knowledge of and compliance with community quality standards and requirements
  • Must be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly food service to residents and staff
  • Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures in food preparation
  • Order, receive, and rotate stock with the Dietary Supervisor
  • Follow recipes to ensure consistency of food products
  • Prepare and serve meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner as assigned
  • Assist in meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations
  • Comply with all food safety and community quality standards
