Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • culinary experience
  • ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to perform basic math operations with American money, volume, and weight measurements
  • complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, taste, and smell regularly
  • ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
  • specific vision abilities including close vision, color, and depth perception

Job Qualifications

  • culinary experience
  • sales skills
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English
  • ability to write simple correspondence in English
  • effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations

  • ability to use knives and kitchen equipment
  • understanding of portion control and food garnishing techniques

Job Duties

  • take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
  • prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
  • provide customer service to shoppers
  • clean work areas to ensure sanitary conditions
  • unload stock and manage inventory
  • reload salvage products according to company standards
  • cooperate with team members to maintain a positive work environment
