Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven cooking experience preferably in senior living or healthcare setting
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
  • Ability to work weekends and second shift hours from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing dietary needs and special requirements
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven cooking experience preferably in senior living or healthcare setting
  • Culinary school or relevant certification is a plus
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Ability to adapt to changing menus and resident preferences
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with residents dietary needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menus including special diets such as low-sodium and diabetic
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed including HACCP principles
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and ensure all equipment is functioning
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to support a harmonious work environment
