ShelterCare is a well-established social services agency located in the Eugene/Springfield area, dedicated to providing comprehensive housing solutions and wraparound services to families and community members experiencing homelessness or on the brink of homelessness. Job Requirements
- Must pass a DHS background check
- Must be able to drive agency vehicles
- Six months of experience cooking for large groups of people
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs while walking 120 feet
- Ability to push and pull a cart up and down a long ramp with up to 150 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be available to work Friday Saturday and Sunday during specified hours
Job Qualifications
- Six months of experience cooking for large groups of people
- Ability to create meal plans and shopping lists
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Duties
- Provide breakfast lunch and one meal to go for dinner on Friday Saturday and Sunday
- Prepare meals to be served on the weekends
- Create and maintain weekly meal plans
- Create shopping lists for all necessary ingredients and supplies
- Clean the kitchen after each meal when on duty
- Maintain all hygiene standards for the kitchen and food pantry
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
